Seriously, I just don't know how they manage to do it. I think they store water.

(BTW, the speech below the Pikachu head is supposed to say "kiiiilll... meee...", but doesn't seem to have come out too well. I'll patch it up a bit later)

Hahahahaha! *falls out of chair* It's so true. I've almost gone through heat stroke at quite a few anime cons (I think I actually have gone through it a couple times). Why do we do it? First of all you're right we are insane there's no question there. But it starts off as 'I want to try and make one of those suits' then we do and we see the attention we get. After that most of us become attention whores who love making people smile/feel a little uncomfortable.

Well good fursuits are always impressive, so the attention at cons is rightfully deserved!
I think it's probably true of cosplayers in general though. For some reason I still like to make costumes and enjoy getting photos taken even though I go through hell to get them ready in time.

Anyway, glad this made you laugh.

I'm not sure that they do really.

I took a photo of a girl in a Bowser suit at Ayacon last year and she had to keep going for cups of water (was very red when she took the head off!).
